Our membership in the UN Global Compact is an important step in our sustainability work

The membership is part of our work to contribute to sustainable development. This means that we are committed to apply and support the Ten Principles of the UN Global Compact on human rights, labor rights, the environment and anti-corruption in our processes as well as in our strategy, culture and daily operations.

We do use the Principles today, of course. But we hope that if we, together with other member countries, support, promote and apply them, we have a greater chance of reaching the Global Goals and Agenda 2030 for sustainable development and the Paris Agreement. We therefore see membership as an important step.

Human Rights
Principle 1: Support and respect international human rights within the sphere of corporate influence
Principle 2: Ensure that their own companies are not involved in human rights abuses

Labor law
Principle 3: Maintain freedom of association and recognize the right to collective bargaining
Principle 4: Eliminate all forms of forced labour
Principle 5: Abolish child labour
Principle 6: Eliminate discrimination in terms of recruitment and work tasks

Environment
Principle 7: Support the precautionary principle regarding environmental risks
Principle 8: Take initiatives to strengthen greater environmental awareness
Principle 9: Encourage the development of environmentally friendly technologies

Anti-corruption
Principle 10: Combat all forms of corruption, including extortion and bribery
