Daniel Backman is
Jernbro’s new CEO

The board of Jernbro Industrial Services AB has appointed Daniel Backman as the new CEO. He takes office September 1. Former CEO, Mikael Jansson, remains as Deputy CEO and Senior Advisor until February 2024.

Daniel Backman has worked at Jernbro since February 2022 as vice president and COO. Before Jernbro, Daniel was Regional Manager for South and West at Caverion, a business with 800 employees and a turnover of 1.3 billion. Daniel has also previously held leading positions at other companies such as Valmet, Afry and Bilfinger.

– First, I would like to thank Mikael Jansson for his excellent work, as well as the board for the trust in becoming Jernbro’s new CEO. In recent years, Jernbro has created a good and stable foundation for continued development and growth. We are a strong partner to Swedish industry and its changes, and I really look forward to leading Jernbro and our competent staff on the continued journey, says Daniel Backman.

− My time as CEO has been fun, challenging and educational and I am immensely proud of today’s Jernbro and what we have built together. The company is standing strong and has great potential to develop even more, especially within the industry’s green transition. After 37 years in various leading positions, of which 23 as full-time CEO, it is time to take it a bit more easy and share my rich experiences in different ways. I am therefore very happy to be able to hand over to Daniel, who has an excellent background to take the company forward and towards new goals, says Mikael.

Mikael Jansson became Jernbro’s CEO in 2018. During Mikael’s leadership, Jernbro’s turnover has grown from 900 million to 1.7 billion and is today the market leader within industrial maintenance and projects. The business employs 1,000 employees and has around 30 establishments around the country. Mikael will remain as Vice President and Senior Advisor until the end of February 2024 and will continue with his board assignments as well.
