We acquire shares in GMK

With an acquisition of 70% in GMK Svenska AB, we are consolidating our position as a market leader in industrial maintenance in Sweden.

– The acquisition means that we strengthen our regional platform, primarily in Västra Götaland and the surrounding area, but also nationally on a project basis. The addition of capacity and expertise will contribute to Jernbro’s continued growth towards customers in industry and critical societal infrastructure. A wider range of services is thus made available to both Jernbro’s and GMK’s current customers. The operations and competencies complement each other in a good way, explains Mikael Jansson, CEO of Jernbro.

Affären innebär att vi stärker vår regionala plattform i främst Västra Götaland med omnejd, men även nationellt på projektbasis. Tillskottet av kapacitet och kompetens kommer att bidra till Jernbros fortsatta tillväxt mot kunder inom industri och kritisk samhällsinfrastruktur. Ett bredare tjänsteutbud tillgängliggörs alltså för såväl Jernbros som GMKs nuvarande kunder. Verksamheterna och kompetenserna kompletterar varandra på ett bra sätt, förtydligar Mikael Jansson, VD för Jernbro.

– With Jernbro as the new owner, GMK gets the strength to develop further and to continue its growth towards new levels. GMK will also be a good complement to Jernbro, especially in western Sweden, says GMK’s current owners Håkan Schramm and Mikael Persson.

Håkan Schramm and Mikael Persson remain as co-owners and are operationally active from the beginning of June. Jernbro has an exclusive option to acquire the remaining shareholding of 30% within a couple of years.

GMK Svenska AB has a turnover of approximately SEK 60 million with 50 employees and offers machine installations, relocation of production lines, maintenance services and service initiatives in welding and forging.
