At the beginning of March Jernbro Industrial Services AB acquired Skövde Industrireparationer AB. Through the acquisition, Jernbro strengthens its position in Skaraborg and can continue its planned expansion.
“The deal is part of Jernbro’s growth strategy where increased local presence is a vital condition,” says Mikael Jansson, CEO of Jernbro.
Jernbro in Skövde has 140 coworkers within maintenance, service, engineering and automation. The existing operations within metal and welding will be integrated into Skövde Industrireparationer’s premises. Together, the new business will have some 30 coworkers who can serve the local industries in Skaraborg.
“The deal gives us both increased capacity and access to a number of interesting customers. At the same time Skövde Industrireparationer’s customers get access to a wider range of services,” says Niklas Jälmevik, Regional Manager West at Jernbro.
“With this acquisition, we add a high level of competence within welding and mechanical maintenance, which is difficult to find today. We get access to a well-equipped workshop with a broader machinery park providing us with the conditions to continue to grow,” continues Niklas Jälmevik.
The two businesses complement each other in a good way and it primarily means increased capacity thanks to a larger workforce and a broadening of the services offered.
