Marcus Forsell has accumulated valuable experience due to his many years as a welder and mechanic. It has contributed to the fact that he today works with planned maintenance to ensure that the machines work efficiently at one of Jernbro’s larger customers in Skövde.

Marcus’s work means that every day he receives new tasks that are prepared and planned. However, even if the maintenance work should be completed within a few hours according to the plan, sometimes urgent problems can arise.

– Sometimes we discover other problems and then there can be more urgent interventions. Recently, for example, we had to disassemble part of a processing machine and carry out urgent work, and during that time parts of the factory were at a standstill.

Marcus started his career as a welder, but his interest in mechanics and industrial maintenance took over. After working hard in the workshop with repairs, maintenance and manufacturing of everything from snow plows and tanks to smaller components, Marcus is happy to now mainly work with planned maintenance.

Mekanik_JernbroSafety is a central part of the work both at Jernbro and where Marcus is hired. Marcus emphasizes the importance of following safety procedures, especially when it comes to heavy lifting and handling certain substances.

– Jernbro always emphasizes safety and that is good. In my work, I have to think about using neoprene gloves when working with hydraulic oils. Safe lifting is also something we always have to keep in mind, for example when motors are to be lifted in and out of machines.

Marcus enjoys being part of a larger company like Jernbro, as well as the good cooperation and security that pervades the company. The fact that the customer I and others at Jernbro are hired to is satisfied that we provide them with the right skills, also contributes to a good feeling about work efforts.

Mekaniker_Jernbro– It is also nice when all Jernbro consultants gather for information meetings and breakfast with our manager Peter Johansson. Recently, my Jernbro colleagues and I also had a joint safety exercise, where we tried hanging in a harness on a climbing wall. It was really good, because being dangled in a harness was both uncomfortable and unpleasant and therefore a good reminder of the importance of safety.

The reason why it was an exercise on a climbing wall is because climbing is Marcus’ great passion outside of work.

– It is developing to work at different customers. The work also becomes more varied. If you are not sure what you want to work on, it is also a good way to discover what you are interested in. Because of the many opportunities, I really recommend others to apply for jobs at Jernbro.
