HEALTH AND SAFETY
is a core value

YOUR SAFETY is our shared responsibility

At Jernbro, health and safety are not just priorities – they are part of our core values and embedded in everything we do. Our vision is zero accidents – no one working on behalf of Jernbro should ever be injured. To achieve this, we build on strong leadership, clear processes, and a shared approach – “Your safety is your and my responsibility.”

OUR ZERO VISION

Every day, we work to prevent risks and create safer work environments. This is how we put our zero-accident vision into practice:

  • Think before – Always assess risks before starting an assignment. Some tasks carry extra risks, such as working at heights, handling hazardous substances, or operating vehicles.
  • Protect yourself – Always use the required protective clothing and equipment.
  • Report – Always report risk observations, incidents, and accidents. Sharing knowledge helps us all learn and improve.
  • Take responsibility – Remind each other to prioritize safety. Show care for customers and visitors by informing them about risks and routines.

HOW WE ACHIEVE our zero vision

To reach our goal of zero accidents, Jernbro works systematically with health and safety across the entire organization. Our approach is based on four focus areas:

In everything we do, we work to prevent risks and create safe workplaces. Health, environment, and safety are standing items on the agenda – from management meetings to daily operations and projects. To strengthen awareness, we emphasize our shared approach: Your safety is your and my responsibility.

Every Jernbro site has local safety representatives, and regular safety patrols are carried out according to requirements. Our Head of Health and Safety ensures structured knowledge sharing and exchange of experiences across the company.

We report and analyze every incident, whether or not it results in injury. This helps us learn from experience and take preventive measures. We also monitor key performance indicators such as:

  • Number of risk observations
  • Number of incidents
  • Number of accidents
  • LTA (Lost Time Accidents)

We have clear routines and instructions for both our employees and subcontractors. These are adapted to each customer and assignment, depending on the level of risk. Special guidelines exist for high-risk work, such as construction, decontamination, waste management, and chemical handling. All chemicals used are registered.
