Jernbro opens new industrial facility at Mongstad
Jernbro’s new industrial facility at Mongstad was officially inaugurated on 21 October, bringing together customers, partners and employees for a highly successful opening event. The strong engagement and positive response reflected the importance of the investment and the opportunities it creates for Jernbro and Norwegian industry.
The opening at Storemyra 180 was marked by an enthusiastic atmosphere, with guests exploring the new workshops, meeting Jernbro’s specialists and discussing future opportunities for collaboration.
With expanded workshop capacity and improved capabilities in electrical engineering, automation, mechanical services and Industrial Power Modules (IPM), the new facility marks an important step in Jernbro’s long-term commitment to Norway.

More than a new building
The investment reflects Jernbro’s long-term commitment to Norwegian industry and its ambition to develop closer relationships with customers across Western Norway.
“This investment is about much more than a new building and a new workshop. It represents our long-term commitment to Norwegian industry, our customers and our employees. It is also an important step in Jernbro’s continued growth in Norway,” says Daniel Merum, Managing Director at Jernbro.

Greater capacity for more complex projects
The new facility provides significantly improved conditions for delivering advanced industrial services, including maintenance, electrical engineering, automation, mechanical services and project delivery.
The workshops also create opportunities to expand the production of Industrial Power Modules (IPM), alongside dedicated capabilities for stainless steel and carbon steel welding.
By bringing several areas of expertise together at Mongstad, Jernbro can undertake larger and more complex assignments while maintaining its focus on safety, reliability and flexibility.
A strategic location for future growth
Mongstad is an important industrial hub on Norway’s west coast. The new facility strengthens Jernbro’s ability to serve customers across the energy, oil and gas, process, marine and manufacturing industries.
As industrial operations become increasingly complex, demand continues to grow for technical expertise, efficient maintenance and reliable industrial partners.
“The industry is evolving, and expectations regarding efficiency, sustainability, technical expertise and availability continue to increase. To meet these demands, we must develop alongside our customers and stay ahead of market expectations,” says Daniel Merum.

Bringing people, expertise and technology together
During the opening, guests explored four areas of the new facility: electrical solutions and IPM, stainless steel welding, carbon steel welding, and engineering and project management.
Beyond the expanded workshops and technical capabilities, the investment is also about creating an environment where people and expertise can come together.
“Perhaps most importantly, Storemyra 180 will become a meeting place. A place where people, expertise and ideas come together to create solutions that help our customers become even more competitive,” says Daniel Merum.
The opening marks an important milestone for Jernbro in Norway, providing a foundation for continued growth, closer customer partnerships and new opportunities for industrial development across the region.
