Plant back in operation
When energy must be produced, security of supply is essential – even when the boiler fails just before Christmas in Denmark.
During periods of high load, there is no room for prolonged shutdowns, and a failure of key components can have a direct impact on both production and supply.
This places demands on rapid mobilization, technical oversight, and safe execution from day one.
Challenge
Shortly before the Christmas break, a valued customer experienced a rupture in the pipes to the boiler header box.
The task was critical in several respects:
Timing during peak demand, welding in alloyed materials, stringent quality requirements, and a difficult location.
Solution
We mobilized our own and contracted specialists in boiler welding and pipe fitting.
Together with the site foremen, they formed a strong team that safely managed critical deliveries and subcontractors throughout the process.
At the same time, the documentation department supported the work and ensured traceability and document control.
Results
More than 50 critical welds and over 20 pressure tests were completed – day and night.
This ensured that the plant could quickly return to operation.
