When Pelly Group decided to relocate machinery from Hillerstorp to Nässjö, they needed a partner who could not only manage the move but also secure long-term preventive maintenance. With Jernbro as the sole partner, both needs were met in one collaboration.
Challenge
Pelly Group needed a partner to both perform a status analysis for long-term preventive maintenance and manage the complex relocation of machinery from Hillerstorp to Nässjö. Ensuring the robustness of the large automation system, the “Wood Carousel,” was a key priority.
Solution
Jernbro carried out a condition check of the machines and identified critical actions. They implemented improvements on the Wood Carousel and other equipment before dismantling. During the relocation, Jernbro disassembled the machines into larger sections to simplify reassembly. At the same time, Jernbro upgraded components such as a hydraulic unit, guide rails, and cabling.
Results
The machinery was successfully relocated and restarted in the new Nässjö facility with minimal production disruption. Jernbro took full responsibility, from analysis and planning to relocation, reinstallation, and commissioning. They ensured a smooth transition and laid the foundation for more strategic preventive maintenance.
