Borås Energy and Environment improved energy efficiency with Jernbro
Borås Energy and Environment turned to Jernbro for support during a critical pipe project at their Ryaverket facility. With only one week available during the annual audit stop, Jernbro’s expertise in prefabrication, welding, and project execution ensured the work was completed on time and delivered the desired energy efficiency improvements.
Challenge
At Borås Energy and Environment’s Ryaverket, a large pipe project needed to be completed during the annual audit week. The goal was to improve energy efficiency, optimize district heating flow, and secure water refilling. The biggest challenge was the tight time frame, as all assembly had to be finalized within one week of shutdown.
− The challenge with the project was the time pressure, since all assembly had to be done during the one-week stop, says Marcus Lidholm, Project Manager at Borås Energy and Environment.
Solution
To save time on site, Jernbro pre-fabricated large pipe sections and valves in their workshop. Licensed welders carried out pipe cutting, welding, and valve installations. Jernbro also contributed with construction and calculation expertise, ensuring that the project plan was both realistic and efficient.
− I planned the project with a consultant and received valuable input from Jernbro to ground it in reality, Marcus explains.
Results
Thanks to close cooperation and shift work around the clock, the project was completed within the scheduled stop. The improvements led to better energy efficiency and optimized plant operations.
