HISTORY and milestones

BUILT ON DECADES of industrial expertise

While the Jernbro brand is modern, our roots go much further back. The story gained momentum when Coor – originally part of Skanska – expanded into industrial services in the early 2000s. Growth accelerated through a series of acquisitions of strong companies and skilled teams, each bringing valuable experience and expertise that reach far beyond the Jernbro name.

Among the early milestones was the acquisition of Celero Support in 2005, followed by several larger additions in the years that came. Other companies, with heritage from industry leaders like Volvo and Euromation, also became part of the journey – strengthening our knowledge base across Scandinavian industry.

KEY MILESTONES – building the Jernbro of today

By welcoming Veltec in Denmark and Norway, Jernbro became a true Scandinavian group – bringing even more expertise in complex industrial projects.

GISAB’s strong industrial know-how in the north of Sweden added new strength and broadened our ability to support demanding customers in heavy industry.

By letting go of parts outside our core, we strengthened our focus on what matters most: industrial maintenance, projects, and solutions that ensure uptime and reliability.

2019 was a turning point: Veolia Industrial Maintenance brought new competence and capacity, while strong ownership from Blue Water Energy gave momentum to our next growth phase.

New ownership laid the foundation for building Jernbro as an independent company, ready to grow and expand its role in Scandinavian industry.

The Jernbro brand is born as Coor Industrial Services separates from Coor. With a new name and identity, Jernbro stepped forward as an independent company – with decades of expertise already behind us.

The acquisition of Euromaint’s industrial business added new technical skills and broadened the base for future Jernbro services.

Bringing in SAPA Industriservice meant adding valuable industrial expertise and closer ties to key Swedish industries.

Under new ownership, Coor sharpened its focus on industrial services, setting the stage for the growth journey that would eventually become Jernbro.

This was the true starting point of our modern history – when Volvo’s internal service operations became part of Coor and laid the foundation for what is today Jernbro.
